Tips for using ChatGPT

Getting better results

Use the following tips to get better results when using ChatGPT for lesson planning.

  1. Be specific – the more specific you are when writing your queries, the more fine tuned your results will be. Try adding additional details to your prompt to let the AI know exactly what you want. For example, if you’re looking for content for a specific grade level, make sure to mention the grade level in your query.
  2. Create exclusions – you can tell ChatGPT what you DO and DO NOT want. Use this to your advantage. For example, our speech query “Create a list of speech topics that do not include topics related to politics” specifically asks to exclude topics related to politics, and the AI will respond accordingly.
  3. Try again – if you aren’t satisfied with the results the first time, try again. ChatGPT gives you an option to regenerate the results.
